Tally Charts Statistics.

Today for strand maths we have been learning about statistics. We have asked the question " How do people in P2 get to school?
We did a tally chart then a bar graph.
I found a little challenging How to total it all up together.
i found it a lot easy to draw and write it.
I also found a little hard to make all the bars and getting it all in perfection.
I noticed that the most amount of people go to school in cars.
I also noticed that the middle amount was the scooter.
The second to least was the walking only 2 people walk and 2 is half of 4.
And the least amount was the Bike, Bus.

The Mysterious Moon!

This whole week we have been learning about the Solar System and all out through learning like Inquiry, Literacy, Maths, Phonics. So here is my story Hope you like it.

Sid's Schemes. Maths Starter Of The Day.

Sid earns £100 each week. For a summer holiday bonus his boss gives him a choice between 3 schemes. Which would you chose?


1. A 20% pay rise today followed by a 20% pay cut each week's time;
2. An 18% ' one time ' bonus;
3. A £2 gift each day for the next nine days.



Today we have been doing a maths starter of the day and it was about Sid's scheme and there was 3 questions and you had to pick which one you would choose i would chose question 3 and I will tell you why... 



I would chose Question 3 because I would really like a pay cut each week because it would be nice for me to have a nice holiday.

How to make a ham and cheese sandwich.

In Inquiry we are trying to teach others how to make a ham and cheese sandwich. I found hard trying to get the instructions right. The Easiest part was typing fast. Here is mine I really hope you are gonna like it.

Aones Pepeha!

This week and last week we were working on a pepeha and we had to add in our mountion, River and Where i was born. i was doing mine and I finished it in a quick tick. I found the hardest to try and find the Maori word for it. The easiest was probably making the pictures. Heres mine I really hope you are gonna like it.

Matariki Stars.

Today and yesterday we were working on a Matariki star. I really liked it because it was kinda hard but then fun again because it was just fun and i really liked it. First we had to cut 12  little cuts it was kinda fun but then kinda not fun it was really confusing. Heres mine I really hope you like it.

Term 2 Reflection.

In Home room time we were doing a term 2 reflection thing and there are 5 questions for us to answer. I thought it was hardest thing was finding an answer. I found it easy to copy the doc. Here is mine I really hope you are going to like it.

In Strand Maths we have been doing Minecraft Maps, Questions and it was fun because i got to design our own Minecraft Map. after we are finished and drawing and coloring. After After that we had to make 10 question and other people have to solve it it was hard to draw and make the lines. i found it easy to color it in. Heres mine I really hope you like it.

The Seven Stars Matariki - Maths

WE looked at a photo of the 7 stars of Matariki. We talked about polygons. Polygons are shapes Triangle, Square, Rectangle, Circle, Diamond, Hexagon, Heart, Star, Octagon, Pentagon, Heptagon and semi-circle. W had to use position of the stars to create different shapes. The most simple polygon I made was Triangle or square. The most Complex or difficult was I don't know because they all seem easy to me. Here is my photos hope you like it.
