Straw Rafts

In Inquiry wen are learning about design process. The design process is where you Plan, Design and test a product or theory. Sometimes when you test it, it doesn't work and you have to start at the beginning again to see how you would make it better. Mrs McG gave us a challenge. We had to plan, design+Build a straw raft to float with 40g of weight on it. We could only use 20 long pieces of straw and a long strip of tape. Our raft failed round about 1 times because it was not leanthed out enough. We did some research about how rafts float and found that Object that a less than water. we found trying to stick it together challenging because it just keeped on moving up and down and it was annoying. Heres Mine I hope you like it. 

Pigeon Impossible!

In literacy today we watched a short movie called Pigeon impossible. The movie was about a very mysterious pigeon who tried to steal a donuts. Walter, The secret Agent needed complete his mission. He stopped the explosion of the rocket but it didn´t end exactly how he would have wanted it. We had a choice of four tasks. They were a wanted poster, A comic strip to retell the story, write another mission for Walter to spoil the pigeon. I chose to for a wanted poster. I had to create it all by your own hands like shape writing and all of it is to do with your hands. Here is mine I hope you like it...

I found t mostly easy using drawing tools for the pigeon and also writing it....

This week in literacy we have been writing about instructions. I have been writing how to make a mothers day card. And I thought it was actually quite hard but then since I been doing it all this week I thought it actually started to get quit easier when I do each step. Heres my story hope you like it.

Number 68!

In maths we are learning about numbers. I had the number 68. I had to show 6 different ways to make it. I used a number fan, Place value, Money, Unfix cubes, Tens frames, Ice cream sticks, counters and cards.
